I found this petition on facebook and it only has a few signatures! I called my local hospital and it's true....they told me that if I was to have a miscarriage, they would have thrown the baby away as BIOHAZARD!!! How messed up is that!? What about burying my baby?

Please sign this petition so no one has to go through this anymore! A baby is a baby, even at 3 weeks gestation!

At 3 weeks gestation it's a ball of cells..maybe not even that.

How are you supposed to bury a 3-4 week old embryo? I mean I'm just curious.

I'm TTC since November '12, have 2 angel babies & live in Cleves, Ohio

You want them to bury every single miscarriage? I'm pretty sure there's better ways to spend money that would be going to that.

It's cells. What are they suppposed to do with it?

It's medical waste. As harsh as you may think that sounds, that's what it is.

I had a mc at 5 weeks. All I passed were clumps, and I flushed them.

It's biological waste, aka biohazard. And post 20 weeks, you are able to bury it. Prior to that, there really isn't much point.

I miscarried at 8 weeks how are they supposed to bury that? Our hospital will cremate and place a plaque in the rose garden for anything over 21 weeks ... But seriously do you have any idea how many miscarriages happen every day??? They would have to employ a team of people at every hospital just to bury every ten week feotus. Also do you bury and grieve every one idol your periods because it's not any different

I agree.

Now if it were farther along I can understand like around 20 weeks? But at what point is it considered early labor not a miscarriage? When the fetus is viable?
