Quoting Mommy of 2 + 1 angel:" I'm sorry I'm not much help. I'm just learning the way this system works for our SN children. I am ... [snip!] ... probably do option 1 but switching them all sounds like a better option since they have programs that grow with the children."
Oh, I don't like to change things at all. In the past I was forced to because the program wasn't meeting my child's needs. That's why I'm trying to figure out what to do. After my DH got home last night we talked for a few minutes as it was really late. And we are going to talk more today. Last night he seemed to think just sticking with what we have going is the better option and with the gas we'll be saving, to buy some more speech oriented activities, kits and do it together here at home combined with what we already have. Since MK is hard to get to cooperate he said I could buy a few different kinds of candy and let him pick a piece from the jar.

I asked her & she has heard of it, knows the signs & etc. but says she isn't an expert. but she said she got some time for my son & I to get checked out & tested at the Speech & Language department at CU (Colorado University) & she let the lady know about that possibility already. it's two 3 hour sessions then a follow-up. I'll let you know how it goes, won't be til the end of July though.

Well, that's not too far off to get some answers. It's good she acknowledged your concerns and is seeking more information from people who do have experience. Nancy Kaufman has a lot of information and products for SLP's online. It might be worth his SLP taking a look into. She's an expert on Apraxia. She has workshops around the country every year, too. Lots of info out there, just have to look. I'm going to PT you. And get in contact if you need anything,.
