Hemorrhoid question

Okay....warning, the following is a kinda detailed question about pooping and hemorrhoids. Advice is appreciated and needed but if you do not want to know then stop reading now. LOL



So when I do go (I am only able to go once every 2-3 days no matter how I eat and I have been told by drs in the past to not make my body dependent on laxatives to go so I avoid them unless it has been more than 4 days) I bleed like I started my period. From delivering my son (and I have just gotten them since I was 18 or 19 without it being from child birth) I got a really big one. It hurts so bad to go. It brings me to tears. My question is, is a big hemorrhoid that bleeds a lot (not for long but it looks like I started a really heavy period the there is that much blood in the toilet) reason for immediate care or would it be alright to look (I only have my lunch break to call and that is only an hour, I work the exact hours that most drs are even in  ) even if it might take a few more weeks? It has always bled but only in the last 3 weeks has it started bleeding heavily and made it to where it hurts to even sit down after.   

Ave you tried any medications? I know there are some creams and suppositories that can help. If something was bothering me that much I would see my dr.

I have never had an external one,i have tons of internal ones though. And i had one once that it looked like i had started my period,but i ask my mom about it (she's a nurse practitioner) And she said she wouldn't worry about it,that sometimes it happens but idk mine eventually stopped and there was no bleeding when i wasn't using the bathroom. So maybe yous will go away soon.GL

That is the thing, I don't have a dr right now. I have seen one dr in the 2 years since I got out of the military and that was a week ago. I found him in an office space right next to my work. He gave me the medication for my bronchitis but he was awful so I need to find a new dr before I let them near somewhere like that.

Check at a drug store for over the counter medications.

I used to suffer from those when I was 18 years old. I bled like you describe. Take fiber pills to help make your poo softer and easier to go. It's non addicting and can be taken everyday. Creams are available to help sooth and heal, but you can ask the pharmacist at any drugstore to help you learn what you can use. Also, try not to push much when you do go. The pressure is irritating to the hemorrhoids and makes them worse and increases bleeding.
