Girasol Woven Wrap

posted 26th Jun '12
I'm either ordering one on Friday or getting one used.
What size do you have?
I would love to see pictures.

What's your favorite way to carry baby?

I plan on getting a size 6 or 7. This is me with a size 5, wearing my five month old... Just borrowed, not actually mine

This is a picture of me carrying her on my back for the first time... A little low, but otherwise comfy.

I love loooong wraps, so I would personally get a 6 or 7.
Mine's converted into a ring sling, it's rasta colorway...so pretty! I'll try to remember to take a pic tomorrow.

As far as favorite way to wear it, I'll just speak for my non-girasol wraps.
I don't have any current pictures, this is from when I first started using a wrap, I've since tweaked it. Having the wrap spread out more over my shoulders instead of bunching into my neck, I prefer her facing in, and a wider seat.
I've never done it the way Kayla is wearing hers, I like wrapping around Fel's torso, then making the seat by criss-crossing.

I think that I'm gonna try a 6. I'm just scared to spend the much money and not get a good fit.
I've lost 40lbs since I had Isla, but I gained like 80lbs with Amira so my butt is like the size of like jupiter. lmao

Thanks, mama. I can't wait to get mine. I hope I get a size that works for me. I want a 7, but I can't find one used and I don't want to wait. lol

SO ordered mine a couple of weeks ago. I haven't received it yet but it will be a size 6. I'm using it to do a back carry since the moby isn't safe for that. I'm so excited  . I'll post pictures when it gets here.

Doing a back carry terrifies me, haha.
I tried it a few times with my Manta (before I sold it) and it was a giant fail.

Well the good thing about it being long, is if it's too long you can just twist and tuck.
The tail on my gira sling comes down to my feet....   So a lot of times I just wrap it under her bum for extra support. Or I let it hang so we can play peek-a-boo.

I love browsing on there.
Check out the babywearing coats, I don't remember what they're called, but they are so neat.
