Buying Stuff Help

I am 29 weeks pregnant and just learned i will probally not be having a baby shower. Unfortunatley everyone told us to wait to buy things until after the baby shower, now we are rushing to get everything in time! Does anyone know cheap places to get baby girl stuff. Stores, websites, etc.?

awwe if I lived by you I would throw you a baby shower   why arent you getting one?

Thrift stores, garage sale, craigslist.

You still have a good amount of time so don't stress. First place to try would be Once Upon A Child. Then try Craig's List. I wouldn't buy a car seat, crib or mattress used though. Keep an eye on sales and coupons too.

I'm in the military, stationed in GA and my inlaws are in PA. With everything going on right now we aren't going to be able to make it, and my leave was not approved.

We were given a crib from a coworker, so that is all we have.

Once Upon A Child is a wonderful second hand baby goods store. you need to find out if there is one in you area, i highly recommend it. they have clothes, toys, furniture etc. just about anything you need for baby at super great prices.

You have plenty of time. Don't stress. Most people don't buy you the big stuff for your shower anyway. Go to walmart.com and babies r us. You can get a nice crib for about $150. Good price and it converts to a toddler bed. If you budget right you can set up the entire baby's room with clothes for well under $1000. That includes the carseat, stroller, dresser, changing table, crib, ect....

Start comparing sites to shop off. Don't be afraid to purchase a few used things. I don't know your budget but, not everything has to be brand new if you can't afford it. It is 100% ok!
