Potty training a child with SPD and hearing loss

Any momma's out there or specialist trained to work on this with special needs children? My daughter was just diagnosed with SPD and I can't get her to keep her panties on cause she doesn't realize when she has to pee. But when she has a diaper on she wants it off the first time she gets a little pee in it. She wants to be dry but doesn't know how to tell when she needs to go.  

I'm at a loss but I really really need to start now because she'll be going to a speech school here in about 7 weeks which costs me anywhere from $450 to $550 a month plus extra $65 a month for lunches. I don't know if I can afford the gas to get her there, the monthly charges, the lunch, and diapers and/or pull ups! I'm at a loss.

I think you just need to have extra patience, and it is going to take longer. How old is she now? It all just depends on the child. Is she in any kind of school or program now that has peole working with her?

She is 3 years old. The program that was working with her stops helping at age 3 so she isn't in it anymore but we're tryin to keep her with the speech school but now we have to pay. They will help potty train her there and they have an OT on staff I just don't see how I'll afford the first few months.

I am pretty sure the ADA has rules about offering free preschool to all qualifying special ed students ages 3-6. I used to work in one of those programs. I would look in your area to see where one is. They offer free bussing in my area, idk if that is a law thing or not everywhere. I had a hearing impaired child last year in my class who was not potty trained yet, and finally about a month after he turned 5 he was able to wear underwear. It does take extra time sometimes, so dont get discouraged.

My daughter has a hearing loss, but she JUST finally is potty trained she is going to be 3 in August.(during the day)I hated Pull ups bc they simply never worked for her,.I just had enough, sat with her on the toilet(FOR 2 HRS!)until she peed for the first time on the potty.I rewarded her with stickers and made a BIG deal out of it,so she finally got it.Now shes fully trained.Hasn't had one accident.
