How many baby girls have you heard of named Siobhan?

I love the name, but I didnt even know it existed until year ago. I had seen it before, in books etc, but I didnt know thats what it was.

If you were to see the name Siobhan would you know how to pronounce it? I feel like I would be burdening my daughter with a horrible name, even though its a beatiful name.

I think a mom on here has a baby named that.. I forget which one.
I think it's a beautiful name.

I love the name! I have a good friend named Siobhan. When I first saw her name I honestly had NO idea how to pronounce it and she's been dealing with that her whole life.

I knew two growing up.

One was Shevaughn.

I don't know any babies with the name but I know someone my age with it.

That's my daughter's name.

She is Siobhan Eleanor.

Everyone has always told her (and me) what a beautiful name it is. As soon as you say how it is pronounced and the fact that it is another language, they get it.

Went to high school with a girl named Siobhan.
It was pronounced "Shuh-vohn"

She is pronouncing it wrong. The "bh" = "v".

None. I love that name, SO hates it.
It's pronounced Sha-vonne.

I know how to pronounce it and there was a girl on American Idol with the name and spelling.

When I first saw the name I thought it was pronounced completely different. I love the way it looks, not a huge fan of the pronunciation. It's a good name though.
