Mucus Plug

Just curious do you loose your mucus plug before you begin to dilate? I noticed I started loosing my mucus plug at 31Weeks and lost more if not all of the rest yesterday I was checked at 32 Weeks and was just 1cm dilated. But I also read if you have began to dilate your mucus plug most likely won't regenerate is this true?

You lose your mucus plug because you begin to dilate. Basically as you dilate the mucus plug can no longer stay up there (hehe) so it falls out, or drips out. If you're not ready for labor it can actually regenerate.
