Membranes.

So I had my membranes stripped today at noon at 38w4d. 4 hours later I lost a good size chunk of my plug. I've been having irregular contractions since then and my vag is killing me! -..- Anyone else get this after having it done? My doctor didn't really explain it, just did it.

I did with my son and never sent me into labor.

When I got stripped I lost my plug about an hour after then an hour and a half (maybe two hours) I started having contractions but they were regular and I could time them. Granted I was also having contractions before my appointment for about 3 hours and they were time-able as well. That was with my son's birth Feb 2011.

My labor started the very next day after it. My vag had pains shooting thru it.

That's exactly what happened to me when I had mine stripped at 38w6d, and the exact same thing happened...and then it stopped. annnnd I'm still pregnant.

I also did nipple stimulation to get it going but I wouldnt recommend that b/c my contractions were pretty bad when I did that.

Thanks for the replies. Guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens no matter how impatient I am!
