Well I should have put "diagnosed" in quotes. But the phsycologist said he is almost 100% sure he has it but since hes 2 its harder to see. He will be rediagnosed when hes 4 to be sure. They actually thought he had autism and he watched the way my son played in a room by himself and said oh no thats ADHD not autism, so its pretty hard to tell the difference at this age. But he overfocuses on things.

Also hes actually very calm. Not hyper at all. It was his behavior with his toys and books and things and how he couldnt stick to one thing for more than 5 seconds which was why i was told he overfocuses(which didnt make sense to me) but because he notices too much lol

i just think its strange that they think kids that young could have "ADHD" my son jumps on furniture and throws fits but i dont think its abnormal for a two year old

isnt that normal for a two year old tho? i think we over analyze kids. especially dr's lol my MIL tried to tell me my son is autistic even tho his dr says he's normal for a two year old.

Well yes and no lol I guess it just depends but I mean ADHD runs VERY heavily in my family. All my immediate family members including me and siblings all have it and we know how we act and how we see him lol I mean hey maybe its nothing but when they do have issues its better for them to have early intervention then nothing at all. but I mean it will be much easier to tell when he is about 4 or 5. I mean my son will play laying on his side pushing a train back and forth for hours. He also lines them up. He cannot go anywhere without them(which is part of the anxiety) If you saw him act like this it might be easier to see lol but i mean there is so much more, this is just one of those things. He also has a hard time sleeping through the night, he wakes up SEVERAL times a night and wont nap. Hasnt napped since he was 1. When he throws tantrums its bad, he made his head bleed and hurt himself several times from throwing a tantrum(which I understand can be normal) but I agree we definitely do over analyze but what does it hurt to start early intervention on something? He also doesnt have more than 50 words in his vocab and hes almost 3 :/. He starts shaking like hes scared if anyone but daddy puts him in the car. He cries histerically until we get in the car anytime we leave.
