Ernestine

What do you think of this name, middle or first? I'm just curious if anyone actually likes it, i'm mostly curious because my Papaw's name was Ernest, he passed away in 09 and I was hoping to have a boy since we have two girls. I was going to use Garrett (my papaw's last name) for our boy's middle name but we are having a third girl. I'm not really considering this name but thought it would be interesting to see what you guys think about it.

My maiden name is Garrett, and my dad has family in Arkansas.
Creepy.

It just reminds me of Ernesto.
Obviously not a good thing, since that's a boys name too.

I don't like it

I just don't like the name. Has an ugly look/sound to it.
Garrett is a family name for us as well and it's my brothers first name.

I think Ernie's (Sesame Street) little cousin is named that. I'm not a fan of the name.

I think it would be good as a middle name.

I had a Grandpa Ernest, too. He died in '10.

Me personally I'm not to fond of the name. If I did consider ever using it, I would probably use it for a middle name.

My family is in Hot Springs but my papaw had family in another town somewhere close I don't know if it was mt. ida or crystal springsm...smurf I can't remember. It would be cool if we are talking about the same blood line! Do you mind sharing some of the names of people you know on your dad's side with the last name Garrett?

I think its very old fashioned. Thats my MIL´s name and she's almost 70.

Holy smurf. I'm on the phone with my dad, and my G-ma is headed to Hot Springs soon. Her name is Mamie Josephine.
My dad said Elizabeth was my gma's sister. He has a bad memory, and can't remember much more than that. He said that she had a step-son, but he can't remember his name.
Martin was her maiden name.

I think so too! I love and miss the smurf out of my papaw, he was an awesome amazing person and everyone who knew him loved him. I still want to name after him, this name is the closest i've gotten. His middle name is Ausborne, I believe that is how it is spelled and I would be fine using a name close to it like Audrey or Aubrey or something but like i've said it's hard to get DH to agree on a name lol.
