Omfg! (long)

posted 26th Jun '12
So I had an appointment set up for tomorrow to have the procedure done. I call the clinic to make sure the referral from my insurance went through. I'll say this first, when I called my insurance (last Thursday) they said they would cover 80% of the procedure. Well I kept calling the clinic (Friday, Monday and today) to make sure it came through. Turns out it did, but instead of only paying the deductible they say I have to cover the whole procedure now. Why in the hell would they send a referral , making me wait 5/6 days, for them to tell me I have to pay 100%. I don't have $650 dollars. I work part time, go to school full time. I make $500 dollars a month if I'm lucky. I still live with my parents. The little money I do make goes straight to me gas tank. I'm applying for dshs on my next day off, and I'm praying it goes through. I'm so scared its gonna take forever. I've been preparing myself mentally and emotionally this past week for the procedure. Only to be this totally disappointed the day before. Now I'm sitting here crying like a baby and feeling like a total douche. My luck has been in the smurffer lately, and this is the first time in a long time I've been able to unload. The fact that I'm getting an abortion is hard enough and the waiting is only making it harder. I hate to sound impatient. I don't know. I don't even know if I'm making sense right now, just rambling.

Wow I didn't know insurance paid for any that weren't medically necessary. Good luck to you, I know it's tough.

Yea it's the same thing. Depending on your deductible, it covers some of it. At least mine does.

I don't know how it works in other states. I actually live in Washington, and I know most here do.

Doubts?

And yea, that's the thing I'm nervous about. I'm only 6 weeks (i think?) , Washington goes up to 13w6d.

I haven done that much research yet. I'm in the process now. The first clinic I called was supposedly covered under my insurance. So I set an appointment up and stopped looking :/

yes because sadly there are alot of people that will come on here to lie about smurf like that. So I had to disprove it.

I personally wouldnt wait til the cut off point. The earliest is probably better. GL, I hope oyu can get help.

hmm.

Oh I'm not trying to wait until the cut off. If im six weeks now, and Medicaid can take up to 6 weeks I was just saying I'd still have time. not that I'd wanna wait that long anyways.
