When did your child start pre-school?

When did your kid start pre-school?
Violet is 3 1/2 now, and I think she'd really enjoy actually going to school as opposed to daycare.
How did you choose the right place?

ETA: I realize it's summer. lol. I'm planning ahead for this fall.

Dd will be three in September, and she is starting this August. Just 3 hours a day.

Montessori way better then washington's ecap

Mine started the week of his 4th b-day!
I asked for preschool recommendations from friends (there are sooooo many schools around here), narrowed my recommendations down by what fit into my budget (that was a quick way to knock most off of my list lol!), checked 3 out, picked my favorite, and enrolled my son!

the elementary school here has a half day pre-k program that kids can do at 4 years old... my son loved it

I stay home with my kids, so preschool has been a wonderful thing!

I hope to not send my son. I would like to teach him what he needs to know.

I was looking at some Montessori schools. There's a ton of them around here.

My son started at 3. And it may actuall be too LATE to get her in. Many preschools have a one year waiting list.
As to your question about picking the right one, it depends on your needs. I needed full day so I found a school that was a combination of work and play.

She'll be 3 August 4th and is going this September. She will be going at 3 and 4 years, two years.

Montessori is really overrated for preschool, and overpriced. All preschool is child-led free play lmfao.

I was looking for a full day, too. I don't want to worry about transportation during the day and stuff.

Yeah up here too. I've worked at both and for an elementary school and I like the Montessori style. We just moved I'm looking up preschools for T soon. We want to send them to a Waldorf school but nearest is an hour and a half away

I would start calling around right away. Full day tends to be harder to find so you're going to want to figure it out soon. I as originally told my son couldn't have a spot until mid November and at the last minute a space opened up for September.
