I agree with that. I was baptised as a baby and have no recollection of so it means nothing to me. Had I chose it as an adult instead it would have been a special religious experience for me and not anyone else.

I can KIND of understand why they did the baptizing as a baby back in "the day" considering the death rate of infants....they were sure that unbaptized infants who died went to hell or purgatory.

But today? Infants don't die nearly as often.
