On all the protein mixes I've looked at, it says not to use while nursing.

You shouldnt drink those while nursing.

how much are you doing a day. Too much protein in our own diets can cause kidney issues so I was afraid to do any protein shakes while breastfeeding.

1/2 a scoop per day should be fine   Maybe eat more nuts to increase your protein and skip the protein mix for now.

Ive used a few, this one is giving him gas, the others didnt.

Well i looked, and they all say consult a doctor first.

It was my doctor who told me protein is good for my milk and overall health.
My protein powder (the one that didn't give him gas) is whey so its from milk and DS has no problem with me consuming dairy. I read up on it a bit and they advise not using them to diet while BF. I'm not dieting, just trying to make sure I'm getting enough protein. They also say to watch the artificial sweetners in them.
