About $500-700. Diapers were our biggest expense.

We were very wise in our spending and got a lot of hand me downs.

We actually were blessed enough to get the big items at our baby shower. We recieved a pack n play, swing, bouncer, stroller, car seat, clothes, bottles, and much more. We have only bought her nursery furniture and crib linens which was around 450.00. If youre having a baby shower i dont think youll need 1000.

1000 dollars can get you a lot or get you barely anything depending on where and how you shop! invite a lot of people to your baby shower (the more poeple that go the more gifts you are likely to receive) =) also cut out coupons for what you can!! they might not take much off of your balance, but every bit saved helps!

wow" i only spent around 300 dollars for everything , i did get a lot of my stuff second hand thou . I think my partner would be annoyed if i spent way more than that. I did not even have a baby shower.

I am pretty cheap so honestly, not much. This is our 4th and I save everything so our biggest expense is diapers and formula. I always get everything second hand except for the car seat. In the grand scheme of things, you aren't going to use this stuff very long.
