Should I get Epidural (3rd child)

this is my 3rd pregnancy and i never had one but want to get one but Im so scared to get one because I've heard so many women say it caused spipal headaches n other permanent damage.....also does it stop the urge to push??

I had an epidural with all 4 of my kids because I was induced with all my pregnancies due to Pre-E. I was diagnosed at an early age with migraines, but I was lucky and never got the spinal headaches. I also did not have a problem with pushing. Hope this answer helps you out!!

i have given birth twice and never had one. I would NOT have one if i got pregnant again either. My body handles pain VERY well and I have a high pain tolerance.

Do what you feel comfy with doing, its not a big deal either way.

I have had it 3 times and never had any problems afterward. The first time I had it was the only time I didnt feel the urge to push but that was because they gave me way too much. I still didnt have a problem pushing and got him out in 20 minutes so it didnt really matter.

No, it doesn't stop the urge to push. I felt like I had to take a dump the size of an Escalade, and I got an epidural. However, I still felt them pull Boogaman out with the vacuum, and when I had my episiotomy.

I have problems with my back because of the epidural.It has been almost 7 years,to me getting the epidural is not worth it.But if it is what you want just do your own research and go from there.

I had an epi and it was a wonderful experience. I still felt the urge to push & DS was out in 20 minutes. I haven't had any issues with my back or head aches.. I gave birth almost 4 months ago.

1st got an epi after 27 hours of labor
2nd got an epi after 12 hours of labor
3rd I went med free and was in labor for 11 hours...

I think I worked myself up to it...but its a personal choice

i got an epidural with my third child, first 2 natural, its scary getting the needle in your back but its over in a min, it doesn't hurt. i didn't have any problems pushing, was the same amount of time as the other kids, your body will push on its own weather you can feel it or not, but it did drop my blood pressure, i got a sever headake, like a, im going to die headake, and i think it caused my postpartum depression, it was the easiest labor i had, but im not sure if id get one again . if you choose to dont let people make you feel guilty, do whats right for you at that time.
