Im in Australia and i've had freinds in similar situations of course not involving a pregnancy though but to me it sounds lik you and your boyfriend need to have a serious sit down and talk with his mother but first you have to confront him about how things are being handled ,Because frankly to me you sound lovely and like you've been landed in a tight spot in all directions. once you and him have the conversations you need to have together your both going to have to comfront his mum,She seems lazy arrogant and like she needs to get up offf her fat arse.
My mums unemplyed now not entirely by choice my mum worked overtime on night shifts as a manager of a brothel and was getting no help from noone not even her supposed friends she put up with abusive customers fraudualent backstabbers and a crappy boss whilst at home was dealing with the sense that my grandfather was dying i wasn't handling it and hated school and all this bullsmurf so now after a serious talk between myself and her and a mental break down she's left work and is technically classed as unfit for work.
Now thats my mothers reality, what ever be your boyfriends mothers reality either calls for social services to help clear it up fast before things get worse or find the full perspective and if its just her lazyness get out of ther fast otherwise she'll never let either of you leave.
