It's gonna be longer than a usual hospital stay, because you start your labor there instead of going to the hospital when it gets intense. You get an IV with pitocin. GET THE DAMN EPIDURAL. You will be taking drugs while you're breastfeeding postpartum regardless. =) Basically you really don't have to do anything. The nurses do everything for you. Just sit there. Let them know when you're in pain and they'll do what they can to fix it. Don't be nervous, I was induced and my 110lb 5'2 body managed to push out a 9lb 7oz baby with NO problems! You can do it, good luck and enjoy being a mama!!

Where is your mom in all of this? You shouldn't be getting induced so early unless you or your baby's health is endangered. Just because she might be bigger doesn't mean anything. It's just an estimation.

I only say that to make it sound more reasonable. Unless you want to just deal with the pain, they give you painkillers every four hours after you give birth. while you're breastfeeding. Not that I have ANYTHING against drug free birthing, by all means, kudos if you can handle that! I just know I couldn't, and I don't like people to feel guilty about taking the medicine if they need it. That's all I meant by that.

I don't see any issue with what I said. I was in no way trying to be rude or judgmental, just trying to help ease her mind, and all I got back were judgmental comments. I thought this was a forum to support other people, not bash them.

They don't give you pain meds unless you request them.

Well they said she stopped growing and they want to get her out as soon as possible. And my mom fully supportive through all this.
