Haha, me, too.

My daughter is an amazing person... but she still threw a tantrum for a half an hour this morning because she didn't want to take a shower.

Then, when we were done... she was back to hugging and kisses and making me giggle.

Reading OP's posts, ghetto was the word that popped in my head, the way she said things.

OP, I wasn't a teen mom. I had my daughter at 21. It doesn't matter what age you are, parenting is HARD. I absolutely loved the first year because the first couple of months, all she did was eat, sleep and poop. Even when she started walking, it was GREAT! Until recently when she's doing her own thing and not listening to me because she's independent and figures she will do things her way. She's 3 and a half now. Raising her isn't hard at all. But parenting her is different. At 2 months, you don't need to teach your children anything. You don't need to teach them right from wrong, good from bad. You don't have to teach them about safety, going with strangers, talking to strangers when mommy isn't around. You also don't have to teach them about walking off on their own without mommy around. So enjoy the glitters and rainbows because in the near future, you'll pull out your own hair and bang your head against the wall out of frustration.

Oh, and I raised my daughter on my own too. I'm a single mom and was a single mom since she was born. I didn't have anyone watch her until I went back to work when she was 6 months because I got out of the Army right before she was born and was on unemployment. Even when I went back to school, it was still easy. I didn't have someone talking back to me. Reality hits and you see how hard it can get when you have to work to support your family and you're trying to get your child ready and she's just making it hard for you and after work when you're tired and she's refusing to eat.

And let your husband be a dad. He's your daughter's father and it is unfair of you to not let him do anything.

If OP is superwoman, I must be bionic woman!

Nope no tantrums they don't ever do anything terribly bad either. Defiant like no mom I'm not cleaning yes they do that my son even lies sometimes, but acting like a beast and throwing tantrums smacking biting smurf nope never!

Thank you!!!

Love won't pay the mortgage, buy food or put gas in your car, and loving your child does NOT mean parenting will be easier.

Please,define "easy."
