I don't think saying that you dont want to deal with someone elses kid means you dont want to deal with your boyfriend. Some biological parents have days they dont want to deal with their kids. The reality is no matter how much a guy can say he cares or claims someones kid as their own, once you break up he wont care about that baby and more than likely if he did you wouldnt let him see them. I dont know a single person who is still involved in their ex's childrens lives

I do a few actyally and step parent do have rights. They can get visitation if they want it.
