Adderall

How long will it take before I start noticing if the medicine is helping any or if it's just going to make him have too damn much energy? My son does not have have adhd but his doctor thinks that it combined with his other medicine would help.

for me it took about a week.

i noticed it helped me within the first day. but it took a week to get used to it. made me feel relaxed and coherant. i started at 5mg, then 10, then up to 15. my grades improved tremendously.

They started him at 20mg time released capsule.

They started him at 20??? Good god.
It'll probably take about a week to really regulate. Although he's probably feeling pretty different already. I was feeling it day one.

he is like me and it takes a lot of something to effect us, his bipolar medicine still isn't working. they gave me morphine in the hospital and it didn't do smurf, and I have hydrocodone upstairs that i"m supposed to take one of but even 3 doesn't work.

He will, but it'll be focused energy.
I cleaned the smurf out of my house for 24 hours when I started my meds.
I miss that

I hope so, I can barely handle his bad days when he has normal amounts of energy. Did you lose weight on it? I know a side effect is lowered appetite and his other medicine increases appetite so I'm hoping they balance each other out. The child eats 3 bowls of cereal and 4 pb&j sandwiches in an hour.

When he insists on staying on task until he completes it you will know it's working!

my first two werent time released. i think the 15mg was though. they may have put me up to 20mg at one point. not 100% sure though. i was 15/16 years old. it was 7-8 years ago. im no longer on anything.

Yessss. It was amazing for me haha. I lost 30 lbs in like 4 months.

Yup! I would HAVE to finish something. My husband would tell me to sit and rest and it made me so mad.
