Quoting Not tellin:" I don't use it. Never have and don't worry about rashes on my children. Then again, I actually change ... [snip!] ... as soon as they wet or mess. We don't wait around until it is full. There is no proper use to avoid yeast and pneumonia. "

We use it on her hand between her fingers that are fused at the tip and put a mitten on it right away. I don't see how she can get yeast or pneumonia from that...

You have a reason to use it. However, there is a "liquid" powder that you can try as well.

I do sometimes, if I am changing his diaper in a rush and don't want to put a diaper on when he is wet from the wipes, he gets rashes if this is done.

Hmm, cool! But I use it to keep the area dry, would liquid powder do that?

Yup. Goes on like a cream and drys like a powder. Gold bond has something similar as well.

Fantastic, I'll look for some next time I'm at the store. Thanks!

Quoting Lois Griffin:" never had a use for it.. seems like it could be irritating. i know this lady that smears desitin and ... [snip!] ... ass everyday and then wonders why shes always raw! like.. how would you feel with that gritty combination on your vag?"

I mix baby powder diaper rash cream and vaseline together in a jar and put it on my lo when she had a nasty yeast rash last month. Dr gave her cream to use for 7-10 days it did nothing so I just kept trying smurf and nothing worked so I did that and within 24 hrs of using it every diaper change it was gone.

She had it for 3 weeks and kept getting worser. Although I dont use cream everyday or that mix I made I only used it with that rash, she has never gotten one since....

But I use baby powder on all my kids 10/4/4.5 months. Not everyday or anything once in a while tho.
