WWBGD? Daycare "Enter at your own risk"

The daycare lady is sick and said it is contagious so it is enter at your own risk. LO was sick today so I had to call in, and my options are out. Ugh it makes me feel bad calling in.

ETA Would you call in or bring LO to daycare at your own risk!?

Why does calling in make you feel bad? I'm confused LOL

why doesn't the daycare lady shut down for a couple of days until she is not sick and contagious anymore?

Because I just did today, and I don't want to be one of those people who does it all the time.

Unless you're at risk of being fired, keeping LO home seems more important.

well if you have no other choice then you have to do what you have to do mama. i wouldn't want my kids going to daycare where the provider is sick, i think keeping your child home is best

Call in. I wouldn't knowingly put my child in an environment where they were going to get sick.

What is she sick w/?.. Did she go to the doctor to make sure it's nothing serious?
What is your LO sick w/? Just a cold? Puking, diarrhea?
Would you lose your job if you called off?

Pneumonia and a sinus infection, the virus is more than likely still infectious.

Pneumonia is not contagious.....My mom just had it a few months ago really bad she was home from work for a month.....me and my 3 kids live here and my 4 yr old slept in her bed almost every night with her (cause she likes to sleep with gramma and not me I dont let kids in my bed lol)

And my youngest was only 2 months old and my mom watched her when I did groceries and stuff. Doc said not contagious at all.

I would call in. The sinus infection is more than enough reason to stay away. yuck! Nobody wants that!
