My son was just diagnosed with PDD-NOS. Any other mama's out there dealing with this? I am just looking for people to connect with.

Quoting 5 blessings so far....:" I have a 12yr old daughter that is pdd-nos, nvld, adhd & mood disorder. I also have an 11yr old son that has Aspergers/adhd."

Has the PDD-NOS seem to have gotten worse, better or stay the same?

here is what i have noticed w/the pdd-nos...in reality it the issues have probably stayed the same but because she is getting older it seems worse. When she was 6yrs old w/the socail skills of a 4yr old it didnt seem so bad.....now that she is 12 yrs old w/ the socail skills of a 4yr old and the hormones of a preteen it seems a million times worse

she has major sensory issues w/clothing & food. She can only wear certain types of clothing and only eats foods w/certain textures and temperatures. Her spelling and reading levels were in the superior range but her comprehension and reasoning skills were below average. She get anxiety if she is forced to make a choice (what color shirt to wear, which type of cereal to eat, act) She would also freak out if we went to a ''strange'' place or she had to meet new people. She has very poor coordination and frequently hurts herself. Sometimes she makes odd noises or has out of place body movements. i could go on and on and on!
