sandwitches???

im 21 weeks pregnant with my first baby an im 17 . my doctor told me if i wanna have deli meat(sandwitch) i have to heat it up ? does that mean i have to eat the deli meat hot.. because the sounds grossss. PLEASE HELP MEE : /

Yes, it means you have to heat it up. As in microwave it..or eat a hot ham and grilled cheese sandwich..

It's to kill any bacteria in there. You can heat it up and then wait for it to cool down before putting it on a sandwich.

I never did that. I eat all my deli meats cold.

I was told you have to get it steaming but then can let it cool.

If it sounds gross, don't eat it. I didn't eat lunch meat while pregnant, I survived.
And why did you feel the need to throw your age out there?  

There is a slight risk of getting Listeria from deli meat, which would be very bad for your fetus if you did, so they do recommend you heating it up. Think of how Quiznos and Subway heat their sandwiches up. it's not that bad.

However, I never heated deli meat up when I was pregnant with my first and we were fine.

yes. he means eat it warm. I never did. I find it gross. lol My daughter is 100% healthy.

its just like getting a sandwich from subway toasted, its actually pretty good.

haven't had deli meat since the start of my pegnancy I suggest a egg sandwich or bacon and egg. Deli meat isn't very nice anyways... but you can say get some salami put it on a pizza base and make a pizza for lunch sometimes I do that...hope i helped!

I ate cold lunch meat all the time. My doctor never said anything.
