I need advice.....

Ok so i pay BD's mom to watch LO while I'm at work. She doesnt charge me much its only $3 an hr but it adds up i end up paying around 240 every two weeks. Well she has one other grandson that lives in dallas she also watches him......(it is BD's lil sisters son) Ive been thinking of asking her if i can pay her a little less per hr as BD has no job and even when he did i dont see any money to help with LO. I just found out she has only been charging $2.50 hr for her other grandson. normally i would think its only 2.50 but right now every penny count me and my son are living on a one person income and her daughter is married, both parents work and she makes more hrly then me. Do you think i should ask her if i can pay less? Im not going to mention i know how much she charges for her other grandchild or any of that.

No I don't think you should ask if you can pay less   that is extremely rude IMO. Compare her prices to real daycares & you'll be thankful.

If you're low income enough though, why don't you get daycare assistance through the state?

Are you and you BD together? If so why can't he watch him?

I'd just say I was not going to be able to afford the childcare anymore unless I could lower it.

in order to get low income assistant you have to be getting child support.........ive tried. and in my area I have found daycare for $80 to $90 a week but obviously i would rather him be with someone he knows.

Ehh if you can't afford it, switch him. He'll do fine & he will get to know the new people/kids. If anything, just tell her you're thinking about switching daycares because you can't afford her rates anymore.. Leave it up to her to lower the rate, I wouldn't right out ask..

she does..........she has known since day one that he left he hasnt paid me a dime for our son.......the most messed up part is sometimes during the day BD will go hang out for a few hrs with LO over there and she still charges me. He has even said something to her about when he is over there helping if he could charge me less or not charge me for those times and she still charges me.

Also, why DON'T you get child support from him? Have you filed for child support, actually taken him to court?

Ok their should be a way he needs to cut some damn grass or something to help his mom help you. I would ask her about the rate but I wouldn't bring up how much any one else pays

As far as the agrreemeant you child support you and bd have you need to flat out telling him that you need assistance with child care.. Or you have know choice but to apply for the child care assistance that will initially start the real processs with OAG. I mean it is what it is sometimes
