that is so messed up that she still charges you when your BD is there. and i also think it's messed up that she's charging someone else less. but there could be reasons for that...maybe your son is a little more work? i dunno...but either way she should cut you a break and your BD should step up, that's for sure.

Yea I wish it was a logical reason like that but unfortunately its not.......her other grandson is a yr younger then my son. He its a sweet boy but has to be held alot she has even hurt her neck from having to carry him so much.:/

im just starting work on wed and we found a daycare that works and that is close to us and for my 2 year old its 125 a WEEK and for my 9month old its 150 a WEEK so add that up and tell me how u feel about ur $3 a hour. LOL
im not trying to be mean girl. But I know every penny counts, But try cutting back in other areas!

I find that wrong. I dont charge friends or family ever to watch their kids. My best friend has 6 kids and a stepdaughter I watch 4 nights a week for free. I watch them for just under 8 hrs. And I have 3 of my own. They are 9,6,5.4,2,6months then her stepdaughter is 3yrs old. She lives with them.

My parents used to watch my 2 oldest 7 days a week from 4pm to 2am when I was at work...no charge at all. I think that is so wrong. And dont know anyone who charges family...or friends ever.

this is how all my family flees which is why im not asking them for advice......i do agree tho i dont see why she charges she doesnt need an income she uses what she makes to shop.....she has always been a sahm and works when she get bored.......I think I am going to see if we could just agree on like 20 a day that 100 a week and weather she has LO 8 hrs or 2 hrs ill still give her 20 a day.........usually she has him7 to6 hrs

I know its a great price and if she was charging the same for both kids that would be one thing. But she know BD does not pay child support espcially since he has been unemployed for a month now and the other grandsons parent both have fulltime jobs and both are paid more hrly then me. i just dont think it is fair her charging them less when they make 2.5 to 3 times what i make a month.

I just really don't want to get into it with her.i want to get ds in a mothers day out this fall so I think i'm just going to see if we can do 20a day and then I'll put him in a 3to 4 day a week program this fall. I'm just nervous sending him to a daycare. I use to be a Nanny so I heard all the whore stories from familys but I do think other kids his age would be good for him.

Besides my family watching my kids at night, they did daycare in the day while everyone worked and I went to school. My oldest (now 10) started daycare just before 3 and then went to school at 4, but went before and after school. Not anymore she just stopped going 4m ago.

My middle started daycare at 1m old and is coming out just on the 6th of July since she will be going to school in sept..she will be 4 in July.

And well my lo is 4.5 m old and Im on paid leave from work till dec so she will go when I go back to work. But my kids love it and not once were any of them mistreated or neglected or anything I love their daycare workers its awesome.

do they go to an at home daycare or a regular daycare?

Regular daycare....I was paying about $700 a month with subsidy assistance but it was worth it. They learned so much there over the years my almost 4 yr old is at a grade 1-2 learning level she is a very smart little girl. I also do homework books at home with her to though she just started grade 1 math and loving it.

Plus the social skills they have learned are amazing I love it!

The only family I pay is my 13 yr old cousin to watch my 3 kids for 2-3 he's once in a while and I give her $50.00 but I do that just cause she is young and teens love money lol my aunt didn't want me to pay her but I do anyways lol
