senior/elder members status

I think it would be a good idea if we were able to have a member status.
based on length of time here. not post counts because people would go crazy with that..i have seen people here for a month or two with 10,000 posts.

anyways, if the active older (not age haa haa) members had some kind of status...I think it is well earned because it shows an established relationship with the site and members...
plus we can help show the ropes to new people....
like people who have been here over a year are senior members...

if they are actively posting.

I think it would help cut down on assumptions on who is new. I've seen older members also get calleda noob based strictly on post counts alone even though they'd been here for a long time.

Yeah I have seen this on other sites. Like one site has one that shows levels, level 1, 2, 3etc. it's kinda a boring ranking system, but I like the idea of a ranking system!

Agreed. We have some serious gems in our midst that no one knows about that have been HERE (for Mellie  ) for yearS and we don't even know and they are fabulously nice and helpfully. They eaned it.
ooooooohhhhh.....maybe some of the kinder, sweeter ladies could form some kind of welcoming committee to help out the newbers  We could be nice!

oh yeah definetly should keep the post counts...but I don't think posts counts should determine senior status...that's all I meant.

post counts are important..I don't know why...but I worked hard for mine..LOL
