baby's head down but no pressure?

posted 25th Jun '12
I keep reading that when the baby's head is down you have pressure down there? Baby girls head has been down since 30 weeks and im 34 weeks now and I really dont feel too much pressure? Is that normal? Or do you start feeling pressure when shes like lowered and locked and loaded? I guess im confused haha

When my son was head down I didn't feel anything. It wasn't until he was 'locked and loaded' that I felt pressure and the near inability to pee. xD

Usually once they engage. Or they are big enough to not have room to float up. I wouldn't be worried. She is head down and that is the good thing. You still have six weeks so I wouldn't be rushing the discomfort involved with pelvic pressure.

My daughters head was down for weeks, the last 6 I think. Had some pressure but not too bad till she properly dropped at 38 weeks + her head engaged then. Had extreme pressure + pelvic pain then, it was sooooo uncomfortable! I definitely noticed the sudden difference but a nurse told me some women only get a bit of extra pressure + no pain.

LOL! Ok! I hear some women who "want the whole experience" and while I understand that there are somethings it is nicer to only experience a tiny bit of. ;) kwim?

Yeah!!! I'm totally jealous if you don't. Haha!!! But it would be awesome for you. Feeling like your vajayjay is gonna split and the baby is literally going to fall on the ground if you don't use your hand to hold it in while walking around is highly uncomfortable.

I'm 29 weeks 5 days and she's been "locked and loaded" since 24 weeks. The pressure in the morning is awful. It is really hard to stand up but once I pee and get moving for a few minutes, the pain goes away. It definitely hurts though. I didn't start feeling pressure with my girls until I was 35 weeks or so with each of them. This baby has given me all the problems since day 1 lmao
