re: how are my may mothers.

Has anyone seen that documentary the Business of Being Born? If you haven't you should. As someone mentioned earlier... inductions really aren't glamorous!! I am just trying to be patient and let it happen on its own! My first was 6 days late and weighed 8lbs 4oz.. so I can sympathize with the discomfort most of you are experiencing. Just do your best to relax! It makes delivery SO much easier!

A note on having your "membranes stripped..." While this is also a form of induction, in a way, and a little uncomfortable to have done, I have to say it worked for me the first time around. I went into pretty active labor about 3 hours after my doctor's appointment. Its a good jumpstart if you're ovverdue.

I just completed my thesis project for grad school and things are really winding down at work so now I am just trying to enjoy the last few weeks of what will likely be my last pregnancy. Good luck to everyone and hang in there. You may find yourself actually missing pregnancy when it ends!!

Well last night I was crapming enough to notice and my lower back was aching too. Then my upper legs started to ache as well. It all felt like my period was about to start which I have heard means that the big day is coming very soon. I got mad at my aunt because she had a baby last year(her first also) and she was treating me like I was crazy I only call her cause I have serious questions. She is such a whore!!!! I told her that tooo then she told me to take a tylenol and then I hung up on her. Never mind that when she was pregnant last year she went to labor and delivery three times before she actually popped hers out. Now who's crazy????

Well today is my due date...........nathing yet. These last few weeks have been so long I cant sleep or anything. I am so frustrated its not even funny anymore. The doctor said if I havent gone into labor by tuesday I have to get indused. I didnt think I would come so far with my pregnancy that I would be past my due date. Hay you never know maybe today Ill feel something.I hope.........Well I hope everyone else is doing good.

today i lost mymucous plug.. so i hope i come beofore tuesday.. i am getting induced cause i can't walk and my thights are starting to turn purpleish red. i can't wait to see me little man i want to hold him.. everyone i talk to told me gettign induced does nto hurt.. the contractions are just more stronger.. stronger contractions for me i can deal with i had no drugs with my daughter i went all naural, and she was 4 or 5 days early. she weight 6lbs 15 oz. i am guessing my son will be 7lbs 9 oz i will let you all knoe how much he weight when i have him,

This sounds like the exact story of my life. I am not very happy that I got sick this week. Ugh. As if sleeping at night isn't hard enough. Plus I can't wear anything anymore. Nothing fits right...

OH MY GOSH! I love that documentary. I totally agree with everything they talk about in that show. It's amazing. I'm trying to go as long as I can before they make me get started. I'm avoinding Pit like the plague!!

I HATE it when people act like they've never had problems when you know they've been through it. They look down on you and make you feel stupid. That's so rude. What a brat.

Thats how I been feeling too. Like im about to start my period. Thats the best way to expain it. I'm having mild cramps and also feel like I need to poop all the time... I had a baby before this one, but I was induced so I really don't know how it feels to go into labor on my own. So im like "uummmmm whats this mean"

YES! please someone answer this becuase i have been feeling the exact same way, and its weird because it literally feels like period crmaping and my mom told me to time the cramping, but the cramping doesnt go away it stays there as is if im on my period, not to mention it feels like an instant of extreme pressure like im about to pop her out! im so glad other mammas feel this to becuase this is my first and i don't know what any of this means if anything!

Ugh I have been having horrable cramping since 35/36weeks and still no baby. Nothing ever happens from them ughhhh I am going crazy!!!

Yeah I get horrable really intense cramping that actually makes me nausus. sometimes it hurts so bad but no baby. I am soo sick and tired of this lol I pray to god I get induced wednesday!

lol yes i have been having bad cramping for the past 2 days and the most intense pelvic pressure ever like to where it hurts! i just want her to come i have an inducing date of the 20th but i so badly WANT her to come before then!!

MISERABLE pretty much sums it up. Ive been dialated to 2 cm and at 50% for over a week now, and still no baby. I go for an ultrasound this Thursday which will put me at one week overdue. Im tired, im miserable, and wow am i in pain. No induction scheduled as of yet.

Cramping is part of early labor but with first babies early labor can last days, even weeks. I asked my doctor about cramping with my first and I was experiencing this and other early labor symptoms for over a week! Rest assured though that things are happening and your body is preparing... even if you're not in 'active' labor yet!
