Uhm, Ouch?!

posted 24th Jun '12
So I haven't put anything in my belly button ring for probably close to 10 years. It's pretty much closed up except for a little opening on the top, and also on the bottom. Ever since my belly has started growing, the hole has been closing more and more....and now it doesn't look like there was ever one there, just two little slits, with no opening. I'm assuming that's because my skin is stretching tight, and normally it wouldn't bother me at all, except for the past couple of days it's been HURTING. Bad. It's also very red. I mean, it literally feels like it's going to tear or something.

Does anyone else have this issues? Is there anything I can do( or put on it) to stop it from hurting so bad? It's getting to the point where it even stings when my shirt brushes against it. I know, it seems like such a small issues to be writing about, but it's really very bothersome.

Here's a picture of what it looks like, you can sorta see the red/irritation.

My belly button looks the exact same only a lot redder. Mine doesn't hurt to bad though. Have you tried putting lotion on it?

use vaseline or something oil based it wil help the skin stretch as your belly gets bigger.

Yea that's not a great pic, there wasn't a whole lot of light in the room when I took it (with my cell) but it's really actually bright red, and sorta...I dunno, blotchy looking?

I did try lotion, but not the real intense kind, because I'm not sure if you're supposed to use that during pregnancy. But come to think of it, I do have some stuff called "H2Ocean" that I had when I was healing one of my tattoos....I might give that a try.

Thanks, I think I've got a few ideas of what to use now

Ugghh, just the thought of my belly getting BIGGER than this is terrifying lol I'm 7 months, and I'm ready for it to stop growing   Not very likely huh? lol

Oh wow! You are TINY for having twins! I'm getting close to that now, and I've only got one!

I was really Tiny pre preg (you look like you are too) and the Dr. says it "just looks bigger" because I have a small frame....

I don't think I buy that! Feels quite large to me! lol

But yours is so cute! I can't believe there are two in there!

Ohhh Ok, ours is close. We actually got it at Target, but it's a convertible crib also...looks the same, same color and everything. My hubby got pissed off when he was putting ours together also...lol...I think the worst part for me were the bumpers. We got the "Breathable" kind at Babies R Us. They're jungle themed so they match his room...but they were damn near impossible to put on!!!

My MIL got us a TON of stuff...she went like nuts lol At first I tried to tell her that we'd get it , and she didn't have to buy so much, but she wouldn't listen , so I finally just accepted it

Us either! Our families pretty much got us everything. My Mom has bought him sooo many outfits, I can barely fit them in his dressers...I doubt he'll even be able to wear all of it! But it has saved us SO much money...such a huge help, because this pregnancy wasn't planned at ALL lol And we didn't exactly have our finances in order...we've only been married for a year yesterday! We've been together for 5 though

Yeah, kinda what happened to us. We were both working, he was making minimum wage and I was making $9 hr and we had lots of extra money so we figured we would stop using protection and if I got pregnant we would be okay..well 2 months later, I got pregnant and my morning sickness was so bad, I had to quit work (i was an assistant manager at long johns) and the sickness lasted 2.5 months. We were doing fine because we had money put back and had the tax checks coming to help out a bit.. well my boyfriend and his mom said
I shouldn't work because my job was so stressful to me and didn't want to hurt the babies.. well as of a couple months ago, moneys finally been really tight and barely getting past the bills :O we have like 700 saved up for the babies but other than that, pretty broke.. He's been working on getting another job for like 20 extra hours.. I've been trying to decide whether or not to get a part time job or be a stay at home mom.. We really need more income because we live in a tiny one bedroom apartment lol
