I would look into some mommy's groups in your area! MOPS has been a lifesaver for me! It helped me to find other mommy friends!

You can then do a search to find groups that meet in your area. I think they are all slightly different, but my group meets once a month from Sept-May. We have childcare provided, have a "brunch" type buffet, have a speaker, and then either do a craft or discussion group. It is a wonderful break from being a mommy! It's nice to meet other mom's who are in the same season of life as you. Even though my group met for the last time yesterday, we will still have "Mommy and Me" activities over the summer and get together for different activities. We are going to the zoo at the end of this month.

I would also check some of your local churches...perhaps they have a mommy's group/exercise class/bible study or something like that you can get involved in!

I certainly pray that you can find some support and friends! It's so hard being an "adult"! It's just not as easy finding friends as it was when we were in high school. (But, no...I do NOT want to go back there, lol!)

Me, neither. High school sucked.

But thanks for the info! I'll definitely have to check it out! And I've recently started attending a new church, and I'm hoping to get more involved there and make friends, but I'm having a hard time with wanting to go to their "small groups" because I don't want to leave my daughter any more than I already have to!

I understand what you are saying...but remember that you need to take care of YOURSELF before you can be a good mommy to her! When we take the time to recharge ourselves, we can go back and be a better parent!

I am glad to hear that you are attending a new church. Make sure they fit your beliefs, and that you feel welcomed there!
