Autism and Sensory Processing Disorder!

Cute. A lot of those on that list are true for me, and my psychotherapist told me I was "hypersensitive to stimuli".

Should I take that as a diagnosis of a sensory processing disorder?

No but i know someone who's is and he so nice... My sister is also Autistic.

This sounds like my older son, his dr didn't think it was autism and he was diagnosed with only ADHD.

My four year old is getting assesed on the 5th July. That picture discribes a few of his little quirks.

A lot of these describe me along with a host of other strange things. I was always just told I had anxiety disorders (general and social) but my son was diagnosed with SPD and his therapist told me she definitely thinks I would get that diagnoses as well.

ETA It does sound like you could be considered to have SPD as well. Although I know of some who think its a crap diagnoses and means nothing (but some also think that about ADHD)

My son also was diagnosised with just ADHD makes me wonder if he could also have Sensory Processing Disorder. He is picky and gags at some food textures. Also he has chewed holes in so many shirts and controllers to games I can't count.

i've been wondering if my son has SPD... he head bangs all day long... he'll bang his head on the walls and floors mostly. it scares me so much.

who would I take him to...a neurologist?

Or a developmental pedi, or an occupational therapist
