how?

i've seen a lot of BG's users with cute profiles and backgrounds and stuff. i was wondering how to get them or make my profile somewhat cute looking?

For a background you have to unlock the feature.

Go to your profile, under your picture there is a button that says "advanced features" click on it.

You have to take some surveys and stuff to get enough points in order to unlock it.

As for pictures, or anything like that if you go to the search box, and type in "snags" or "snaggable" then there are some threads that have a lot of things like "BG member since..." or whatever else.
