constipation

My 2 yr old DD hasn't pooped in at least a week. Now she's complaining that her tummy and bum hurt. What's the best thing to give her to get things moving! Poor girl!

my daughter had also had stuggles with constipation. So bad she turned pale as a ghost and started getting fever and chills so we had to give her an enema. It was the worst thing I have ever had to do. Now we only use whole grains in our home, and we stock lots of fruits and veggies. She doesnt get as much juice anymore because it was dehydrating her, and she mostly only is allowed water to drink. Since we did the overhaul we havent had any severe issues again.

Lots of fiber and water and prunes

She already eats tons of fruit and veggies, and drinks quite a bit of water. That's all I really let my kids drink during the day, except for the occasional juice of something special. She doesn't usually have this problem. Usually she goes every day. I think it's because she was on antibiotics last week for strep throat. I just don't know if I should give her some type of laxative to help her go today or just try some prune juice or something like that. I already have been giving her apple juice and it hasn't helped at all.
