Yes. I bribe them with something I was already going to get. Even silly stuff like one day I was going to buy tissues and I ended up buying ones with barn animals on them because the girls thought they were cute and it kept them happy and they weren't any more expensive than the other brand I'd intended on buying. You just make it fun for them. I've even gotten them excited about hot dogs haha.

I think our kid is the same exact age, my son was born 7/14/09.

But when we go out shopping I
1) either take him my kindle so he can play games or
2) get him involved in what I am buying. Tell him about the colors and I ask him to grab me number of things. He likes being the helper.

But when he does get moody, I try to calm him down or leave and come back another day. :/ sucks but I cant even be patient and calm when he is being a lil' punk.

dont be embarrassed like u said u are single mom and hes just 3 years old... who cares what people think their not the ones dealing with it.. either bribe him or completely ignore it. .

OP, have you tried a quieter toy? Sounds like maybr he's mimicing the truck.
