wasn't sure where to post

posted 8th May
I have a quick question...I know I'll about posting forums today...lol...But for the ladies that had to have stitches after their delivery, about how long was is before they disolved, and it's stopped hurting to sit down, or stand up or pee. My little man was very small, but I'm also very small(5 foot tall), I only torn once, on the top below my ureatera(sp?) I only pushed three times, literally 5 mins.( he wanted out,NOW) lol.but yeah, sorry if this is confusing.

thanks, three weeks is a long time to be in pain...not my idea of fun, but oh well...they did prescribe me motrin600ml...but I'm afraid to take any pain meds, long story..and i'm also afraid of sleeping but that goes with the med story too. I'm pretty sure i'll get over those fears once my little man gets home.

yea i had 6 stitches, but because of where they were they were considered 3rd degree lacerations...they tore my labia in half....but they took like 6 weeks to stop bothering me...i still occasionally have pain there like when i have been standing for too long or when i am about to start my period...hopefully yours won't bother you that long...oh a blow up cushion or one of them tubes you use for swimming, the smaller ones, are great for sitting on.

it doesn't really bother me to sit down, it's standing for long periods of time and peeing that bothers it.  it still hurts my tailbone to sit all the time

if it hurts to pee try using a squirt bottle and squirting water over the area while you are peeing it will dilute the urine so it dosnt sting

now, why didn't i think of that...probably b/c I'm still not right in the head (well personally, i've never been right in the head, but still) that's a great idea, i just can't remember where i put that bottle the hospital gave me. It's somewhere in this mess we call a house(we move like two days before i went into the hospital, we only had enough time to get his room ready...and that was it.

if you cant find it, use a cup...if you don' t have ice packs..use a ziploc bag and put ice and rubbing alchohol in it...that is what my midwife suggested just for pelvic pain...i had ice pack pads after i had my babies and they were just great..so i am sure if u use those and dilute the pee as she said it will help bunches.
