Is it okay to be sad?

Even though I CHOSE to get an abortion...?

I checked my mail today and got a letter from a program offering free diapers and such and congratulating me on my new pregnancy. I cried.

When I went to get my Implanon in this morning and they checked my HCG blood quant...it was 3011 when last week it was nearly 300,000 and the doctor said it is "Coming down nicely". I almost died I swear.

Everything feels okay until I have to think about it again.

Naturally, I would say yes. When we were contemplating abortion, I was really devastated by it. I knew it would have been the right decision but I was still very upset by it. As long as you know you did the right thing, I say you'll be okay. It will just take a while for your hormones to settle themselves back to normal.

Yes sweetie, it is absolutely ok for you to be sad. Its still a loss no matter what. hugs!

I think it's normal to go through a whole gamete(sp?) of emotions.

of course it's okay to be sad love. I am sure it wasn't an easy decision to make and you are allowed to feel any emotion ((hugs)).

I still get sad to this day, but I know I made the right choice.

It never gets easier. I had two abortions last year and still get upset, still hate pregnant ladies and still want to cry when stuff like that happens. I'm so sorry   and yes, it's perfectly ok to cry! You're grieving for the death.

False. This is from your POV. For alot of women who have had abortions ,it does get easier. Women who are raped and have a abortion, many of them feel a ton of relief and happiness afterwards.

It was like ecstasy after it was all over...but now it's almost like reality has set in.

You WILL have ups and downs. But you made the choice because you knew it was right for YOU.
