When did/should you have your paperwork done, and handed in?Will you pre-register for the hospital, or wait til you get there? Birth plans? Birth certificates, etc?

I registered at 34 wks. I didn't want it sitting around the house and then I forget it. I printed out my birthplan at that time also and did all the paperwork for the birthcert also. I am pretty anal when it comes to having things in order. My babies room was done by the time I turned 8 1/2 mos. I am a planner....weird but at least its done and I don't ever feel rushed.

They say to do it in you 36-37 weeks! My appointment was on the 29th along with my 39week appointment and my dr. decided to induce me due to high blood pressure. So I was getting hooked up to IV's and such while telling the woman my info lol. They also went over birth plans, and the birth certificate. So I guess that's apart of registering also,or atleast at my hospital it was=)

I think this is how I will be. I'm almost 7 months and already I have the walls of the nursery done, all I have left to do is furniture and bedding, and some final cleaning/decorating. I finished my first-draft birth plan today and typed it up to bring to my 28 week appointment and have the midwife go over with me. I just can't seem to hold back!

I pre-registered online with my hospital at 6 months and took the hospital tour a couple weeks later (as recommended by my OB). I have a birth plan outline - but my hospital doesn't use them. They only recommend we have them as our own guidelines.
