Dark leafy greens and eat stuff rich in vitamin c to help iron absorption.

yep I've been anemic since I was born and horrible at taking pills but try to take them as best you can and eat dark green vegies like fresh spinach in.a salad and a,lot of fruits to help with your vit in take. If you cant remember to take your pill wright on your bathroom mirror our set an alarm on your phone to go off everyday. That helps me. Doing all that my iron levels never.been better till I got pregnant with my son last year and this time around my dr hasn't said I was anemic

I've also been anemic since birth. I was supposed to be on prescription iron pills but had to stop taking them because I had severe nausea until 33 weeks. I ate seaweed soup everyday and a few other things and have been fine. I'm 7 days pp and still eating the soup and have felt great.

I love spinach. I don't like it cooked either, it almost turns slimy.
kale is really good too. I've only recently started eating it though

My doctor recently put me on iron tablets to help boost my iron levels. I have always been anemic, but so far the tablets seem to be working for me. My doc told me to take them with a glass of OJ to help add some vitamins/potassium to the mix. Hope things get better for you!
