Mine did that too. the clamping with his gums. He doesn't bite unless he's full and I don't remove him.   I just have to keep my eye on him sometimes.  Like when he's playing and not eating.

have you tried ginger tea? It helps with the let down. He might be more willing if he can get your milk out faster. KWIM? It might be worth a try.
