Suddenly cranky

posted 22nd Jun '12
My son turned 5 months monday and suddenly (last night and tonight) he is super cranky. He wouldnt take the bottle last night because he was full then i would rock him hold him everything and he continued to scream. He has been teething for a month now and when I gave him teething tablets it didnt change he still cryed. His temperature was normal and I even changed his diaper. He eventually cried himself to sleep.

Can anyone explain this?

Quoting i don't make vaginas.:" Ear infection, maybe?"

he has been pulling at his ear more often and its always the left one. Sometimes he pulls the right ear but more the left one. How can you tell? He has no temperature and nothing leaking from his ear

Do you habe an ear themometor? He may have an inner fever. Have you tried gas drops and bicycling his legs? Putting him over your legs (face down) and rubbing/patting his back. You could always try baby oragel or possibly baby Tylenol... sorry mama. Its heartbreaking to not be able to make you baby feel better

My kiddo pulls on her ears when she is tired. Some babies just get cranky. DD slept through thr night until 6 months. No reason why. But she wakes up and I can only get her to sleep if she is next to me.

My son got the same way when he was teething, and when he'd get REALLY fussy for no reason, I chalked it up to teething but, his ears were infected at his next check-up. Maybe make an appointment soon. My son LOVED the amoxicillian. lol.
