Aspirations

How would you feel if you 15 year old daughter told you she wanted to to be in playboy. When she becomes 18 not only did she make it into playboy but she is also youngest playmate of the year and Ms. December.

Would you be happy? Proud? Horrified?

Personally, I wouldn't care. There's not too much I could do about it. If it's what makes her happy and she's smart about it, more power to her.

Well...at least she told ya.   If it was my daughter...would I be thrilled? Not really, but I'd support her and be proud...as long as she wasn't a slut. I wouldn't really be proud of a slutty daughter. But being in Playboy wouldn't make her a slut though...

I mean at least it's tasteful

I'd prefer her do playboy than some sleazy crap.


I wouldn't be horrified or proud. I'd be horrified if she became a prostitute (the illegal kind) or if she became a thief and hurt people. I would be proud if she began a career. Playboy? I'd feel the same as if she were working in McDonald's. It's easy and any one can do it. Nothing to be proud of.

Yeah...I'd probably get her to buy a house and let me live in it. lol. I'd still work and all that, but momma and daddy would be getting a cut of something. lol. Maybe keep my house and get a maid service...or something..lol.

Personally I wouldn't be happy or proud about it. I would still love her and be there for her...but I wouldn't be proud of her decision.

It's easy money though... and it won't last, she will end up having to find a real job as she ages....

I think it had more to do with luck. Not everyone looks amazing. Not everyone can be models. And to be a playmate, you need to have personality. But if she's smart, she'll use her money wisely. Also, it's smart to go to college and have something to do while being a model. A lot of models go to school for media design, fashion design, fashion marketing, ect. There were so many 30+ retired models in a few of the classes at AI. It kind of gave them the foot in the door you need to be able to be successful because they already knew people.

Not everyone can be models, but it doesn't take brains or talent so much as being photogenic.
I still don't see it as something to be proud of. I wouldn't be "proud" if she was a model either. It's not something "proud" worthy, IMO.


Now, maybe I should explain that not being proud of her wouldn't mean I would belittle her or believe she wasn't doing a great job or that I wouldn't be happy for her.

I just don't believe in being proud of every little thing your kid does....

If she were an honor student on her way to a great college, I could deal with it.

I mean, I'd have to suck it up

but I wouldn't be excited at the thought of yucky men having her naked body hanging up in their bathrooms or something
