I would never let my MIL do that. That is my husband's job only.

No. My MIL would not even be allowed into the room when I was delivering.

No, Z's dad's mom was not even allowed in the room, and won't be this time either. Hell. No.

If she didn't like it, you can choose to not have her in the room. I would tell her to back the SmUrf up while LO was half way hanging out if she even tried it.

Personal preference. Woman up and tell her no.

I think you are over reacting getting that mad about it. But I don't think it is her place unless you asked her to.

SO didn't even get to cut DD's cord. The hospital never even gave us the option But no, I definitely don't think she should help. I can't believe she even has the nerve to ask

It's the dad's job. She's being a selfish crazy bitch wanting to take that away from her son.

uh NO!

My MIL is the smurf! I love the woman to death... how ever I don't even want her in the same state until after my baby is delivered and I have showered and slept for 8 hours
quotesmurfs?posted 21st Jun '12
If no one else wanted to I wouldn't see the big deal. My husband cut the cord and my mother was able to trim it later. If she's acting crazy about it tell her to back off.

Mil isnt even allowed in the room with us. My mom was the only one with me when I had ds and the asked her if she wanted to cut the cord but sh said she didn't feel it was her place.
