Quoting Charlie's Lovely Mommy:" Well I know it's not the best, but I took my oxycotin that I got from the hospital and pumped while on ... [snip!] ... as much. Then regular tylenol was fine. I do have to say one thing, DS slept a TON for the first three weeks of his life lol."I can imagine it makes them very sleeeeppy lol
Quoting DifferentDay:" I got a prescription for motrin 800 mg and that was plenty for me but I don't remember taking them much ... [snip!] ... ask your OB and see if there's any other options, but with BFing there's not much out there that doesn't cross into the milk."I have to alternate the two.
Quoting TeamBlue:" I'm about to have my 3rd little boy in September & have really been contemplating BFing. It'll be ... [snip!] ... (repeat) I received percocets & motrin & just didnt know what they do when you breast feed. Any info is appreciated "As long as your doctor that prescribed them knew that you were breastfeeding (and they normally do because I seem to remember that being a question that they ask) what you've been given should be safe. After the birth of my first I was on Hydrocodone and Ibuprofen and was assured that both were safe while I was breast feeding. Just be prepared for baby to be a little more sleepy than normal, so you may have to do a little more work to coax and keep them awake. I'm sending you lots of healing vibes! Good luck!
