There are ways to reduce the risk of c-section.
~ Stay active during pregnancy
~ Try not to gain more than the recommended weight
~ Chose a Dr with low c-section rates
~ Avoid induction
~ Avoid drugs or procedures to stimulate stronger contractions
~ Avoid pain meds
~ Go to the hospital when you are already in very active labor
~ Try to remain calm and as comfortable as possible.
~ Have good support from family and your medical team
~ Consent to a c-section only in urgent situations.
