Due January 3rd!

At least according to all of these websites calculations. I have to say that I am elated to finally be pregnant. My husband and I married in Feb or 2006. In July of 2006, I found out I was pregnant. We totally weren't trying but I was completely overjoyed. Sadly, that baby didn't make it, for whatever reason.

Now I find myself to be pregnant again. This time we were trying. As you might be able to assume, I'm pretty nervous. I was about this far along the last time and it died. I'm terrified to get excited about something that may not come to be. I want to tell the world but am keeping it on the DL for now. I told my best friend and my brother. I would really love to tell my mom and mother in law on mother's day, but I'm afraid to get my hopes up. I had a blood test done yesterday and I'm still waiting for the doctor to call me.

I guess I would just love to talk to others that may be going through the same thing. Or if you're due when I'm due, it'd be fun to compare our pregnancies as we go along. I live in Texas. If you there too, maybe we can even be friends.   Here's to a fabulous 9 months!

Congrats! I live in Texas too. Which part are you from?

I also lost a baby at the same gestational age mine is now, back in January, so I know what you are going through, but relax and try to enjoy your pregnancy. I'm not one to talk - i'm scared as hell, but I have faith everything is going to work out fine!

I went thru the same thing, I found out last April 07 that we were preganant I was soooooooooooo happy and I told everyone.. well within a couple of days of my annoucement I was told that they couldn't find the fetus.. after a few more days they found it in my right tube and I had to have surgery to remove my tube and end teh pregnancy I was o hurt and confused.. I have to other kids and i had healthy preganancies with both. Anyway this April we were suprise to find out we were pregnant again.. as of now all seems to be going well I have another u/s this afternoon and I have only told a couple of friends. I am hoping to tel everyone this weekend if my apt goes well today. Hang in there.. hopefully all will be oK.

I was scared to tell people I was pregnant for fear that I would miscarry & then have to tell them all differently. BUT, I knew that if I did m/c then I would be depressed so I decided to tell everyone. I knew that I personally could use the support from friends/family if I did m/c.

Thanks ladies! I am very excited. Just trying not to get too excited. As you all know as well. I live near Austin, just north in the burbs! We love it. Is it odd that I can't get in to see my doc for the new OB appt until I'm 8 weeks? Or is that normal? I have an appt on the 27. I'll get an US then too. It just feels like forever away, even though it's only 2 1/2 weeks.

Most Dr make you wait until after 8 weeks to get in.. unless u have had prior complications. With me I was in at 4.5 wks had my 1st u/s @ 5 weeks and having another one today at 7 wks.

I had my first appt at just nearly 8 weeks. I think it's normal that Drs won't see you until 8 wks (unless you are high risk).

I did get an ultrasound that day which I don't think is totally normal so early. My doctor is very new & she makes sure that she hears the heartbeat at every visit and if she can't hear it then she'll send me to get an ultrasound to make sure nothing is wrong.

I get my next u/s on May 23rd (I'll be 19 wks).

My best friend is also pregnant and she's a high risk pregnancy, but her doctor won't even do the 1st u/s until 20 something weeks. She's pretty upset about it.

Congrats! I know what you're going through. I had a miscarage April 07' and now I'm pregnant again! My due date is one day before yours. Jan 02, 09.  

I had a scare the other day but it was just implantaion bleeding acording to the woman who did the ultrasound. It was to early to see a heart beat but there is a sack and yoke with a pull. I go back on Monday for another ultrasound and hopefully I'll be able to see a little beating heart.

I totally know what you're going thu.We lost our last baby about 3 mos ago and then when we found out we were expecting again we didn't want to tell anyone till we had passed the point where we had lost the last one. Not that that really makes any difference in the end except mentally. But it was still kinda hard cuz not saying anything kinda made it not feel totally real yet. In the end we thought that a baby 's a baby no matter how far a long it is and there no point in trying not to excited because even if it dies tomorrow it's a baby and it's worth getting excited about today. I still get nervous tho.

Nah, I live in Austin! It's just beautiful here! But thank you nonetheless. I am overjoyed.

I know what you are going through and completely understand. We lost our first baby July 2007.....then another one this past January. It is very hard and trying on your heart, mind and spirit. Now we are pregnant again, due in Jan. 2009. We are so excited, but also very nervous. We lost both babies at 9 1/2 wks. I can't wait to get past that mark! We do have one healthy amazing little boy though. And had no trouble getting pregnant with him, but we've been trying for almost 3 years this time...It's hard on a person, but the outcome of a wonderful little miracle makes it all worth it...I will be thinking about you and keeping you in my prayers.
