We have so many. Our basement flooded somewhat recently, and we got rid of a bunch. But we still have so many
We're moving soon, I want to get rid of some, and get DD her own toybox.
Is it stupid for each kid to have a toybox, at the foot of their bed? And the toys that don't fit will be put away in plastic tubs and swapped out once a week or so? Then there won't be enough to make a huge mess, and they'll still have "new" toys to play with?
Any good suggestions on how to organize toys? Do you keep certain toys in certain spots, etc?
I have those plastic drawer things in the boys' closet, that has the toys they most enjoy in them. The basement has a dresser with the rest... The girls don't have "toys" much anymore per say, so most of their things are in the art room. They suprisingly take really good care of it and keep it well picked up!

I really like the idea of the bins as opposed to toyboxes because most of what my son plays with are small things, like action figures, etc, and he's really OCD about having his "sets" together

Yeah, thats what I do - the bins are kind of organized by type - action figures, cars, blocks, playdough stuff, etc.
