depo shot question!

I have had 4 shots now and my doctor is telling me I should not being having a period anymore. They gave me my 4th one early because I was having my period. And I am now bleeding again. They are sending me in to get blood work done. Im also really weak all the time and its hard for me to eat without feeling like im going to puke. Does anyone have any idea what is going on with my body? I think it may be my iron levels but i really lack knowledge of health issues. hah

there is no guarantee that depo will end your period.

From the experience I had with depo I wouldn't trust it at all. I bleed the whole time I was on it and actually had to change because it started to form a blood clot. I wouldn't trust it and the risk of you still bleeding are a lot while on it.

I only had one shot and they had to put me on the Pill to stop the bleeding.

should i switch birth controls then? I dont know why my ob would think it was such a big deal that im still having periods if its common they dont stop.. mehh

Your body may not like the hormone in Depo. I was on it for years and never had a period, but my body did not tolerate the pill and I bleed all the time.

I would switch.....just because I detest depo.

My best suggestion is to switch cos your body may not take to the hormone and it can mess wit your menstrual cycle in the future if u stay on it

uh oh. I got pregnant when I was on the pill at 16 thats why they put me on the depo pp. any other birth controls you could suggest? I am definitley going to switch im tired of feeling like crap all the time

Not to mention the side effects.

I also got pregnant wit my 1st son at 16 while on the pill but the birth control I'd suggestion is called Implanon. It's good for 3years and it's an implant that goes into your arm and u can get it removed after 3years put a new one in or keep it out if ur wanting another baby. It's a small procedure done at your clinic, I'd ask your doctor.more about it.

Nuva ring
Mirena or Paragard
Implanon

Non hormonal coil, I would never recommend mirena, but it's similar just no horomones.
